There’s a new Sunday Farmers Market in Central City, and it’s the second Sunday farmers market to appear in New Orleans within the past year. Roux Carre on Oretha Castle Haley will be putting on the market every other Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. After or before shopping at the market, visitors can sit down and eat food from one of the Roux Carre vendors while the Saints game plays in the background.
The first market, on November 5th, had five vendors present. While the focus is on fresh, local food, there was also an artist selling paintings and another vendor onsite selling costumes.
